Raja Ampat, translated as Four Kings in English, is a chain of islands in Indonesia. Four main islands (Misool, Salawati, Batanta and Waigeo) and hundreds of smaller islands make up Raja Ampat. This place is a diver’s paradise.

It ranks number one in the world for underwater biodiversity. In fact, there are more than 400 species of coral and over 1,000 different types of fish in the waters at Raja Ampat.

Diving and exploring the forests on the islands are popular activities. If you like history, there are ancient rock paintings in the caves on Misool. Another exciting sight is the ‘Ghost of the Ocean:’ a beam of light that comes out from the ocean and shines on its surface. This natural phenomenon happens at the end of the year.

이 외에도 '바다의 유령'이라 불리는 것이 있는데, 이것은 바닷속에서 나와 해수면에 반짝이는 빛이다. 이 자연 현상은 매년 연말에 일어난다.
