25 – In 1915, William Lawrence Bragg received a Nobel Prize for physics. The English scientist was only 25 years old at that time. He remains the youngest laureate in the history of the award.

88 – Raymond Davis Jr. was 88 years old when he was awarded the prize in 2002. He was the oldest Nobel physics Prize winner.

이번 달 2012년 노벨상 시상식이 열렸다. 10월 9일, 프랑스와 미국의 두 과학자는 올 해 노벨 물리학상을 수상했다. 세리지 아로슈 교수와 데이비드 와인랜드 박사는 물리학에서 훌륭한 연구업적을 이뤄냈다. 수상과 함께 노벨 재단은 물리학상과 관련된 사실을 숫자로 정리했다.

2 – 1901년 첫 번째 시상 이후 단 두 명의 여성이 상을 받았다. 마리 퀴리는 남편 피에르 퀴리와 1903년 공동 수상하였다. 미국 물리학자 마리아 메이어는 1963년에 노벨상을 수상했다.

54 – 숫자 54는 노벨 물리학상 수상자의 평균연령을 나타낸다. 노벨 문학상 수상자는 노벨 물리학상 수상자보다 평균연령이 10세 정도 높다.

25 –윌리엄 로렌스 브래그는 1915년 노벨 물리학상을 수상했다. 영국 물리학자인 그는 당시 겨우 25살에 불과했다. 그는 여전히 최연소 노벨상 수상자로 기록되어 있다.

88 – 레이몬드 데이비스 주니어는 2002년 상을 받을 당시 88세였다. 그는 물리학상 최고령 수상자이다.
