Boy band 2PM’s popularity knows no bounds in Japan as it continues to cause a huge sensation and set impressive records. Its newly released album GROWN is heating up major music charts in Japan, with one of the two versions GROWN, Version A ranking second on HMV’s weekly imported album chart and first on Tower Record’s Daily Chart.

The second version of the album, GROWN, Version B topped HMV’s weekly pre-order chart even before the album was officially released.

GROWN is 2PM’s third studio album released after two years of break. This album is special because it features songs composed and written by the members. Taek-yeon wrote the raps and Chan-sung wrote the lyrics for a song; Jun-ho and Jun K composed some of tracks on the album.

The members said, “This is a huge honor and we are grateful for the support of our fans. Your support will spur us on. Thank you.”

2PM is scheduled to hold a concert this month.

일본 내 남자그룹 2PM은 신기록을 세우며 대단한 인기를 입증하고 있다. 최신 앨범인 GROWN은 일본 내의 주요 음악차트를 휩쓸고 있다. 두 버전 중 하나인 GROWN Version A는 HMV의 주간 수입 차트에 2위를 차지했으며 타워 레코드의 일간 차트에서는 1위를 차지했다. 두 번째 버전인 GROWN Version B는 공식적인 발매가 이루어지기도 전에 HMV 의 주간 예약 차트 1위를 차지했다.

GROWN은 2년 만에 처음 발매된 앨범이다. 이 앨범에는 2PM멤버들이 직접 작곡 작사를 한 곡들을 선보인다. 택연은 랩 가사를 찬성은 한 곡의 가사를 썼다. 준호와 준케이는 앨범의 몇 개의 곡들을 작곡했다.

“매우 큰 영광이며 팬들의 서포트에 감사하고 있다. 더욱 열심히 하겠다.” 라고 소감을 밝혔다.

이번 달 2PM은 콘서트를 진행할 예정이다.
