Various vehicles from Hyundai are making record-high sales since their debut in the U.S. Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors, the two flagships of Hyundai Motor Group, while meeting the consumer expectations in the U.S. by providing vehicles with strengthened fuel economy and brilliant designs. The second-largest conglomerate in Korea announced it will soon be launching eco-friendly marketing activities in not only the U.S. but in Europe as well.

With vehicle sales racking up faster than expected in the home of eco-friendly vehicles, Hyundai Motor Group says it is currently in the stage of developing more environmentally friendly technologies to improve brand image in the world’s vehicle market. The good news is their efforts are already paying off very handsomely. In an annual study by Interband, a global bellwether in brand management, the group has placed 11th on a list of the top 50 international green brands.

Bumping shoulders with major carmakers, the nation’s Hyundai and Kia were included in the list of 13 automakers signing a contract with President Obama. Sharing the top spot with powerhouses such as Ford, GM, Chrysler BMW, Honda and more, Hyundai Motor Group is expected to create new standards in the hybrid vehicle market. The new policy in the U.S. is estimated to save up to $1.7 billion in fuel costs, which amounts to 12 billion barrels of crude oil, as well as cutting approximately 6 billion metric tons of greenhouse gases. 미국의 새로운 정책은 연료비에 1억 7천 달러를 절약할 것으로 추정되는데 그 금액은 온실 가스의 대략 60억 미터톤을 절감할 뿐 아니라 원유 120억 배럴이다. 그렇다, 한국의 하이브리드 기술은 한국과 세계의 이산화탄소 배출을 절감할 준비를 하고 있는 것이다.
