Singer and actress IU will be returning to the stage in September. IU’s management agency revealed on August 14, “IU will soon finish shooting the drama series ‘You Are the Best! Lee Soon Shin’. After her last shoot, IU will be able to focus on her new album”.

According to reports, IU’s new album will be released sometime around late September. It has already been one year and four months since IU released her last album ‘The Spring of Twenty’. The album was released last May. IU is expected to show off a wide variety of new songs to mark her much awaited comeback as a singer. She will also be announcing a new single in Japan ahead of the album release in Korea.

Since March this year, IU has played the lead role on KBS 2TV’s drama series ‘You Are the Best! Lee Soon Shin’. The drama series will come to an end this coming 25th. While the drama has helped IU build up a reputationas a talented actress she will be returning to her roots as a singer very soon. IU has been a fan favorite for her amazing singing ability and stage manners. The upcoming release of her new album has left many fans excited and curious.
