Actor Song Joong-ki(28) is going to become a soldier. “Song will report to an army draft camp in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province on August 27 to join in the basic military training” revealed Song’s management agency Blossom Entertainment. “Thank you everyone for supporting and cheering me on. I hope to do a good job on my current projects before entering the training facility”, shared Song through his agency.

Song made his debut in the 2008 film, ‘A Frozen Flower’. Since then he gone onto become a crowd favorite through drama series such as ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’ and ‘Deep Rooted Tree’. Last year, Song reached the pinnacle of his career when he proved his skills as an actor on drama series ‘The Innocent Man’ and hit film ‘A Werewolf Boy’. The film was an especially successful project that attracted an audience of 7 million just 47 days after its release. “I hope to return from my two year military service and work on even more exciting projects and wish everyone good health and fortune until then,” shared Song to his fans.

Song is currently preparing to meet up with his official fan club Ki Aile before heading off for military service.
