Singer Kang Seung-yoon topped music charts with his debut single album It Rains, released on the 16th. Within less than 24 hours of release, the album ranked top on nine charts including Melon, Olleh, and Naver. This album effectively connects with the audience, showing a considerable progress since the audition three years ago.

Kang posted a thank-you video on his agency YG Entertainment’s official blog. On the video, he sang the chorus of the track It Rains and said “I did not expect my song to be loved this much. Thank you so much for your attention and support.” He also thanked his boss Yang Hyun-suk and fans for believing in him and waiting for him for three years.

Kang has spent the last three years receiving training at YG Entertainment. He is to release Wild and Young in July and a mini album in September. He is also set to appear in a survival audition program WIN that will decide the final members of a boy band. The new group will be the first one YG creates in seven years after the boy group Big Bang made debut.
