3) Don’t use cars
When going to school walk on the street or ride a bicycle. If you have to go a little bit further take a bus and if you have to ride in a car share it with others and give your friends a ride too. Get your parents to do the same when they are going to work.

4) Eat healthy
Try to eat lots of fresh vegetables that come from local sources and have one meat-free day a week. Better still; try to stop eating meat entirely!

5) Fly less
Going on vacation is a special time for anyone but it shouldn’t be a time to pollute the planet. Avoid taking airplane flights and uses trains and boats instead. Also rather than going on lots of short vacations go away for one long vacation once a year instead.

6) Buy better things
Try to buy things that won’t break so easily, for instance rather than buying a cheap watch that will break and be thrown away buy a nice watch that will last many years. Get things repaired if they break down and don’t be afraid to buy some things second hand.

7) Throw away less rubbish
Avoid buying things with lots of packaging and make sure not to buy pointless stuff that you don’t really need. When you do have to deal with packaging make sure to recycle properly, separating all your waste into separate bags.

8) Don’t waste food
Many people all around the world struggle because they don’t have enough food, so do not buy or cook more food than you need to. Always eat all your food, down to the last grain of rice or save it for the next day.

9) Save water
Using the tap wastes lots of energy so only take showers instead of baths and only use your dishwasher and washing machine when they are completely full. If you have plants water them using water you collected from somewhere else, not from the tap.

10) Tell others
Encourage others to follow these easy steps and to think about the planet too! Take pride in helping to save our home!
